Peace Fellowship toolkit and framework of competencies
Now, let us introduce you to one of our firsts as well – the first toolkit created within YPAN!!!
The Toolkit of Peace Fellowship is a comprehensive resource designed to help train young people and youth workers in human rights and peacebuilding. It offers detailed guidance to promote educational practices that promote peace, and it’s easily adaptable for use in both formal and non-formal educational settings. This toolkit aims to improve the planning and delivery of peace and human rights activities across different institutions and countries. By piloting the toolkit in each partner country, with all official languages on the local level, we hope to raise the standards for Culture of Peace and Human Rights protection initiatives. It’s also designed for continuous development, ensuring a lasting impact on youth work and education.
You can find it here originally in English but also translated parts in Albanian, French, German, Serbian, Spanish, Polish Turkish and Ukrainian.
Besides that, we would also like to draw your attention to the Competence Framework for Peacebuilders, part of the toolkit which is another collaborative effort created within this project. This framework outlines the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for effective peacebuilding. Contributions from training participants helped define the framework, ensuring it meets the needs of those involved in peace education. Furthermore, it has been inspired by the expertise of the Youth Peace Ambassadors Network, which has been active in peace education since 2012.
