We Make art booklet Re:Act

Welcome to “Re’Act” the embodiment of our collective journey within the We Make Art project. As participants coming from Germany, Spain, Greece, and France, we embarked on a profound exploration of peace, conflict, and the transformative power of art.

Our mission was clear: to dive into the complexity of peacebuilding, human rights, and the culture of peace, all while recognizing the pivotal role of peaceful social participation. Throughout our trainings in Madrid and Evian-les-Bains, we engaged in dialogue, workshops, and collaborative endeavours aimed at deepening our understanding and honing our skills.

In Madrid, we made a pivotal decision—to distil our learnings into a tangible form that could spark change. Thus, the idea for “Re:Act” was born. As we convened in Evian-les-Bains, we collectively refined our vision, fostering an inclusive environment where every voice was valued, and every opinion contributed to our shared endeavor.

The pages of this booklet stand as a testament to our collective efforts. Through diverse artistic expressions, we tackle pressing issues ranging from human rights violations to environmental degradation. Moreover, we’ve infused these artworks with strategies for peacebuilding, non-violent communication, and conflict transformation, underscoring our commitment to holistic change.

As you delve into the pages of “Re’Act” we invite you to join us on our journey. Let it inspire you, provoke curiosity, and ignite a passion for positive change within your own communities. Together, let’s usher in a culture of peace and compassion, one artwork at a time.
