YPAN publications and recommendations created by young peace-builders


This guideline on Social Entrepreneurship (SE) for peace building was developed by participants of the training course ‘Blue Print’ by Libre-Pensadores de la Sierra de Madrid (LPS) and Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (YPAN).

One of the objectives of the project was to explore with young people social entrepreneurship as a tool to foster the Peace process in local communities. As an outcome of the project — participants have created the following guidelines.

We firmly believe that in our societies, gender inequality is still a social problem that undermines the human rights of people, especially women, girls and non-binary genders.

International peace cooperators including youth workers, activists and young professionals took part in the training course “Equal means Equal: training on gender sensitive approaches in peacebuilding” organized by YPAN in the context of Erasmus + in order to develop gender equality approaches in peacebuilding.

From the learnings extracted from the course, they decided to propose a document that summarizes some practices and recommendations to take action as youth organization to implement gender equality approaches and measures.

As a result of the training they have created the following recommendations for policy-makers on more gender-sensitive approaches in education in the countries of the European Union and the Council of Europe.
