Method Explanation

The Systemic Consensing approach will guide our decision-making process for the Shalom Prize allocation. This method emphasizes collective input to reflect all participants’ views. Here’s how it works:

  1. Information Round: We share all relevant details and answer questions.
  2. Consultation: Participants review the information and provide feedback.
  3. Decision-Making: A structured process ensures every viewpoint is considered before finalizing the decision.

Your active engagement is crucial! At least 8 participants are needed at each step for a valid outcome. Please contribute and provide feedback throughout the stages.

About the Shalom Prize

The Shalom Prize is a significant accolade in Germany, recognizing outstanding contributions to human rights, global peace, and support for the oppressed. Awarded annually, this prize honors individuals and projects that demonstrate exceptional commitment to these values.

In 2022, YPAN was honored to receive this award for our extensive work in peacebuilding, human rights, and conflict transformation. Since our inception in 2013, we have trained over 1,900 young people through workshops and seminars on these crucial topics. The 27,700 EUR prize, generously donated by various institutions and individuals, is a testament to our impact and dedication.
